Flâneur

Flaneur is an old french word initially holding the negative connotations of laziness and loitering but in the late 19th century as cities boomed it was reappropriated to describe someone with an aimless curiosity, wandering the streets observing the world we live in. I hope to carry on this tradition.

I’m interested in how where we’ve chosen to live affects us psychologically, not simply celebrating the everyday, There’s a deep philosophical lesson going back as far as Seneca related to appreciating the lesser things in life. I want to gain a better understanding of the world around and it’s affects, negative or positive.
